If you've been concerned about the rise of "generative" AI writing tools taking away all the creative jobs, take heart.Ī federal judge upheld a lower court's ruling that a strictly-AI generated art work is not copyrightable under US law.īasically, what everyone should understand (and what the judge said) is that copyright is a **concept designed to protect the rights of human beings.** Absent human involvement in creative creation, copyright cannot possibly come into play. Here's some great news for writers and artists: AI-created art is not copyrightable in US. #freelancewriting #ethics #journalism #nursewriters #rn2writer #scams #backlinking □□□ If you're receiving compensation from a publisher or client, you cannot ethically accept payment from any source or outside entity for including them in your article. I believe this to be a phishing scam, but I've also encountered some real companies attempting to lure writers into being paid for backlinking within articles. The generic "business name" is designed to mislead you into thinking this is a real company. There are thousands of "teaching English as a foreign language" providers out there. The "person"'s (I suspect this isn't even a real individual) title is "junior civil engineer," which has nothing to do with content writing or publishing, and the "company" name "The TEFL Academy" is generic. In this particular case, I suspect the whole thing is a scam. Offering "compensation for editorial backlinks" means "we will pay you to write an article, place your article with a reputable publication or website, and link to our provided resource."
